melissa and dave

This felt like a professional model shoot with this gorgeous couple and their perfect outfits. We were having so much fun, we just kept shooting and hitting new locations. Every time Melissa and Dave put on a new outfit, I tried to come up with a complimentary background- I loved it! It was so funny and cute that Melissa emailed me to ask for fashion advice for their engagement session, because she and Dave obviously have a way better sense of style than I do! Melissa, I should hire you to be my stylist :)

I have to give a shout out to my superfabulous hairdresser Danielle at Bellezza Day Spa on Main Street in Falmouth for providing Melissa with a relaxing, wonderful experience while making her hair look beautiful for our photo shoot. You rock Danielle!

Melissa and Dave, thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to get some great new images for my website :)

I wish I didn't have to wait a whole year for your wedding- I know it will be one of the best weddings Willowbend Country Club has ever seen!

stephanie, conor, and "little" conor

This adorable family is so naturally affectionate and comfortable with each other- they made it so easy for me to get great pictures of them, being extremely cute with each other, smiling readily, and glowing with love :)

hooray for may!

I'm so happy it's May! We're that much closer to consistently nice, warm weather :)

To celebrate, I'll post some pictures of one of my favorite families- two very good friends of mine from high school got married and had a beautiful, exuberant daughter...and then had adorable twin sons!! They are such amazing parents, and their kids are so happy and friendly. And super cute!

Abbie asked her daddy to go for a walk out on the dock when he got home from work:

And here are Colin and Caleb...twins that will never be mistaken for each other. They each have their very own unique, gorgeous features.

Bathtime! Too cute!!

Only mommy's shoulder made an appearance on the blog, because she was still in scrubs from a long day at work, and even though she looked fabulous, I know she would beat me up if I posted a picture of her online :) But these next two shots were her idea, and I love how they turned out! Gotta love the hooded towels and bare toes!!

I love you guys! See you again soon!

second shooting: nicole and tim

As I am eagerly anticipating this year's wedding season, I'm going to post some images I captured last year while I was second shooting for the awesomely talented Kjeld Mahoney. I will be sharing some of my favorites, focusing mostly on details...when I was planning my wedding, I loved checking out tons of pictures of other people's weddings for ideas on what to do for my own, so here you go brides and grooms! :)

Nicole and Tim's wedding at Wequassett Resort was so fabulous, I wish we could do it all over again! Friendly people, gorgeous details, fun reception...it was perfect! I absolutely love that they decided to do a "first look" before the ceremony. So sweet!

My husband and I did this as well, and I'm so glad- it was a wonderful, emotional moment, and we were able to focus on each other without being nervous about the ceremony procedure or all the guests watching us. Then, when I walked down the "aisle" (on the beach) it was special all over again. The wedding day timeline becomes more relaxed this way, because you can take the bridal party and family pictures before the ceremony, and actually have fun with the process instead of feeling rushed to get to the reception.

Just before the ceremony began:

Beautiful details:

Last minute practice for the first dance...these were not posed- they didn't know that the camera was pointed at them, which makes me love these shots even more!

There's a slideshow of some of Kjeld's pictures from this wedding on his blog (click here) - it's the second post down from the top of the page. Definitely worth checking out!
